Latest Technology Application on automobile coating spraying& convey

1. Bell-Bell Technology

    Usually  metal colored paint adopts ESTA spraying for 1st layer paint and use automatic air gun to spray 2nd layer metal colored paint. The purpose for using air gun is to increase the flashlight effect of metal aluminum powder and to satisfy metal color paint chromatism requirement. However, the efficiency for air gun spraying is only about 30% with low paint usage rate and thick fog during paint process; too much fog will easily cause paint film defect thus paint rework rate will rise. Current latest develop trend is to use Metallic-Bell to replace air gun; ABBDuerr and Sames company have this kind patent technology.

    Metallic-Bell’s spray cup rotate speed and molding air capacity is larger than common spray cup; diameter of new-type rotate cup is also larger than common cup; it is sharp edge structure and its corner angle is much smaller. These features can make paint grain drier, smaller diameter after metal paint atomized in order to achieve the flashlight effect similar as air spraying gun.

    Use ESTA/ESTA to replace ESTA/Spraymate can make paint use ratio increase from 40%50% to 70%80%; metal paint amount using on each car can reduce about 0.7kg; rework rate reduced by 2%4%. Currently there is already some Japan joint venture (such as Jiujiang Suzuki) which take this technology for painting line.

2.  Ro-Dip conveying technology

    Ro-Dip in Chinese is full circle reverse soaking convey technology which is Duerr company’s patent technology. Full circle means car body can rotate freely by 360°; reverse soaking means car body bottom upwards after it rotates 180°entering into tank and reversely go forward with tail ahead then exit out tank after rotating 180°again.

   Ro-Dip conveying technology solves the problem which hanging chain and double pendulum chain can’t fix such as it completely eliminates convey system water drip, oil drip, liquid drip which can pollute car body and slot liquid; it solves bubble problem on front& back case and car roof inner cavity; tank liquid entrainment amount reduces a lot for car body rotating to exit the tank. Pretreatment and electrophoresis adopts Ro-Dip conveying technology; this can reduce electrophoresis paint precipitate on car body flat; this is good for leveling property; the paint film is smooth and delicate so as to reduce polishing working load; can make paint film more even and inner cavity electrophoresis paint film quality improves greatly.

    Using Ro-Dip convey technology can save invest cost; shorten convey chain length and reduce operation cost such as saving chemicals amount, water& electricity, energy and maintaining expenses. Shanghai Volkswagen Polo adopts this technology on its preprocessing and electrophoresis painting production line.

3.  VarioShuttle convey technology

    VarioShuttle is named multifunction shuttle which is Eisenmann company’s patent technology. There is 3 driving device in it which is running, swinging and rotating device.

    The outstanding feature of Eisenmann convey technology is optimize different soaking angle, tuning way and forward speed as per different car type to achieve best handling method. To get best quality, car body can pass the tank by different location and direction flexibly by PLC control.

    Using this technology, car body can swing in tank to eliminate the bubble at some part; it can completely dry itself upside soaking tank to make tank liquid entrainment amount reduce to the minimum; as it can use different speed in processing, even halt or reverse, tank length can be shortened to the minimum; by inclining but not completely tuning over can make tank depth shorten as much as possible; reducing tank volume result in less floor space, meanwhile saving work amount for 1st time loading amount, energy consumption and cleaning& maintenance. Currently FAW-Volkswagen new production line is using this technology.
