Troubleshooting in electrostatic spraying process

    Powder coming out normally but no powder loading or little loading.

      Host machine spray gun blowout1Areplace 1A spray gun fuse; spray gun is inflow and high pressure electrostatic is short-circuited so system is in protection mode and output voltage is very low. Decompose and completely blow dry spray gun; check and solve wet source to guarantee compressed air is dry.

    Selected powder isn’t used for electrostatic spraying; powder becomes damp; inferior quality powder.      Replace with qualified electrostatic powder.

    Poor ground connection between products and host machine      Check ground connection condition.

    Output voltage is adjusted too low       recommended working voltage: 60-70KV.

    Powder loading effect isn’t very good. Output voltage is adjusted too low;       recommended working voltage: 60-70KV.

    Too much air pressure causes powder is blown away.        Adjust powder spraying air pressure.

    Powder becomes damp or inferior quality powder     Replace with qualified electrostatic spraying powder paint.

    Products grounding connection isn’t good or too thick solidified powder is blotted on hook.            Check products grounded circuit and clean hook.

    Powder atomizing isn’t very good.    fluidifying air pressure is too low or powder is mild damp or powder quality is not very good.       Enlarge fluidifying air pressure and replace with clean and qualified powder.

    Powder-absorbing pump is blocked or damaged.      Clean it or contact us to replace the pump in time.

    Operation indicator light is off.    Spray gun cable socket isn’t good or gunlock route is too short so the gun switch can’t be pulled.    Check spray gun cable and adjust trigger top screws.

    Power light is off.   No electricity for power socket, poor connection between power cable and socket, power blowout0.5A.    Check power and replace 0.5A power fuse.

    Powder doesn’t come out.    Spray gun powder outlet is blocked by spread head (this happens on new guns many times).    To adjust spread head location outward.

    No operation on electromagnetic valve and no powder spraying air pressure output.    Check electromagnetic valve plug and wire.

    Powder transporting pipe which is used for connecting spray gun is bent or falling off; air pressure connection pipe is misconnected(powder spraying and dilution is reversed).    Check Powder transporting pipe and each air pipe.

    Intake valve of spraying machine isn’t open or air pressure is too low. Open valve and adjust powder spraying air pressure to 0.3~0.4.

    Socket connection which connect spray gun control line, trigger switch, spray gun with host machine isn’t good(there is no “Kada” sound in host machine when pull the trigger).     Check wires and plugs.

    Diluted air pressure (2nd time air) is too large.    Completely turn off diluted air pressure to test machine.

    Nozzle on powder absorbing pump is blocked.    Clean and be noted to check it often.

    220V AC voltage is too low so it causes there is not enough electricity on equipment and electromagnetic valve can’t be turned on (new discovery).  Adjust powder voltage or add a voltage stabilizer.

    Powder doesn’t come out or coming out without stop once ventilated.    There is water in high pressure air; working environment temperature is too low; electromagnetic valve spool is freezing; feature is working indicator light in host machine displays normally but electromagnetic valve doesn’t work (new discovery).    Use blow drier to heat electromagnetic valve to make it unfreeze and to solve moisture and temperature problems.

    Powder coming out is non-performing products.

    Amount for powder coming out is little. Or Powder coming out is uneven.

    Powder transporting pipe is too long.    The pipe can’t be lengthened arbitrarily.

    Fluidifying air pressure is too low which make powder fluidifying not good.    Adjust fluidifying air pressure.

    Too low powder spraying air pressure will cause powder coming out amount is smaller.    Adjust powder spraying air pressure.

    Powder is damp and clotted or mixed with impurity.        Replace powder and pay attention to moisture-proof.

    Powder coming out nozzle on powder absorbing pump is blocked by powder.       Clean and pay attention to checking and moisture-proof.

    Powder absorbing pump structure is broken (changed) carelessly during clean process.    Please contact us to replace powder absorbing pump in time.

    Diluted air pressure is too low or it isn’t closed tightly or its regulating valve doesn’t work whichever cause air leakage.    Remove it and check diluted air pressure pipe output air.

    Even powder spraying air pressure is adjusted very high; however it is felt output air pressure is still too low(northern winter), mostly it is because there is water frozen in compressed air.    Use electric hot air blower to make ice on valve body metal become water in each pressure regulated valve.

    Too much powder is coming out.    Powder spraying air pressure is too high or fluidirying air pressure is too low.    Adjust air pressure appropriately.

    It is felt slight electric shock on hand with spray gun.    Ground connection for whole system (host machine, products) isn’t good.    Ground connection must be in good condition.

    Human body is full of charge. Spray gun ground connection isn’t good which causes human body absorbs electrostatic charge and can’t be discharged in time but accumulate it.    Check spray gun and ground connection.

    There is sparking during powder spraying.    Products ground connection isn’t good and too much solidified powder is accumulated on hook and rack surface.    Check products ground connection condition and clean hooks and racks.

    Spray gun is too near from products.    Spray gun must keep certain space from products.

    Spray gun feedback there is breakdown in control circuit.    Contact specialized personnel to check and repair.

    Pinhole    Output voltage is a little high or it is too near from products which cause it punctures powder painting layer.

    Shrinkage cavity    There is oil contamination and powder dust on products surface; after it is solidified it will form shrinkage and it is more serious at crack place.

    Using different composition mixed powder will cause every kind accident.

    Bubble    There is water or oil etc. on products and cause bubbles after it is heated and evaporated.

    Not enough Paint film adhesion force    Preprocessing isn’t clean or there is rust, water, oil contamination, powder dust or dust on products surface.

    Products oxidation film isn’t eliminated.

    Product firing temperature isn’t high enough or heat preservation time isn’t enough; pay attention to the temperature difference between oven display and products actual temperature.

    Too much resistance for trigger, screws aren’t adapted to the right place on trigger top; too hard for trigger reset spring.    Adjust trigger top screw and reset spring.

    Products corner is wiredrawn.    Spray gun voltage is too high; it’s not right to think the higher electrostatic voltage for electrostatic powder spraying voltage, the better.
